Growth Systems Engineering

About

A growth systems engineering firm for established businesses whose operations have outgrown their technology.

Somewhere in your company, a person is doing a computer’s job. They export the spreadsheet. They copy the record from one program into another. They remember to follow up. They reconcile the two reports that disagree. Every tool you bought works. Together, they don’t — so your people have become the integration layer, and your growth runs on their memory.

This is not a software problem. It is a systems problem, and it is solvable the same way every serious engineering problem is solved: understand the whole, design what should exist, build it precisely, measure it, improve it.

A horizon is a reference line — the line every other measurement is taken from. That is the work: giving a business one line of reference, so that every system, every team, and every decision aligns to the same truth.

What we are

Horizon System Automations is a growth systems engineering firm for established businesses whose operations have outgrown their technology. We work across the full commercial infrastructure of a company — CRM, scheduling, payments, databases, marketing and revenue technology, data pipelines, dashboards, websites and web applications, and the automation and AI systems that connect them.

The work begins with the business, not the software. We map how the company actually operates, identify where growth is constrained, and design the architecture that should exist. Then we build it — integrating what deserves to stay, replacing what doesn’t, and engineering custom solutions where no product adequately solves the problem.

What we believe

Strategy before engineering
The most expensive systems are the ones built before anyone decided what should exist.
The business is the spec
Technology choices are downstream of how the company operates and where it intends to grow — never the reverse.
Whole-system accountability
We take responsibility for the outcome, not the deliverable. A working piece of a broken system is not working.
Calm precision
Your operations may be chaotic. The engineering never is. Plain reporting, including bad news, in writing.
Proof over polish
We publish nothing we cannot stand behind — no invented clients, no inflated numbers, no borrowed logos.

Who leads the work

Horizon System Automations was founded and is led by an engineer with roughly two decades across web and software engineering, digital infrastructure, marketing technology, and business strategy — the unusual combination the work demands. Most technologists have never run revenue; most operators can’t read an API contract. Every Horizon System Automations engagement is led by someone fluent in both: the boardroom conversation about where growth comes from, and the codebase conversation about how the system will actually behave.

Engagements are deliberately few and deliberately deep. You work with the engineer who designed your architecture — not an account layer relaying messages to one.

Next step

Start with the architecture.

A systems assessment maps how your business actually operates, where it leaks, and what should exist — before you commit to building anything.
