Growth Systems Engineering

Growth is a systems problem.

Your CRM, website, scheduling, payments, data, and marketing should run as one system — information moving where it’s needed without a person carrying it. Horizon Systems Automation designs and builds that system, and stays accountable until it runs.

SEC 01 / THE PROBLEM

Established businesses accumulate software the way cities accumulate streets — one decision at a time, each reasonable, none coordinated. A CRM here, scheduling there, payments, accounting, marketing platforms, industry software, and a website that talks to none of it.

That isn’t a mistake anyone made. It’s the natural result of a company evolving faster than its systems. But the cost is real: your people quietly become the integration layer — exporting, re‑keying, reconciling, remembering. If any of this sounds familiar, the problem isn’t your team:

  • Someone exports a spreadsheet so two systems can agree.
  • A lead came in Tuesday. Nobody can say what happened to it.
  • Marketing’s numbers and sales’ numbers describe two different companies.
  • Your website looks fine — and is connected to nothing.
  • Every new hire inherits a workaround instead of a system.
  • Growth makes things worse, not better. That’s the tell.

What fragmentation costs

SEC 02 / CONSEQUENCE

Disconnected systems don’t just annoy your team. They show up in the numbers you answer for.

C.01

Lost opportunities

Leads stall between capture and follow‑up. Speed to first response decides deals, and nobody owns the gap.

C.02

Unnecessary labor

Skilled people spend hours moving information between systems that should move it themselves.

C.03

Weak visibility

Reports get rebuilt by hand, disagree with each other, and arrive too late to change a decision.

C.04

Broken attribution

Money goes into marketing; nobody can trace which dollar produced which customer.

C.05

Incomplete customer journeys

Customers fall through the seams between systems — missed follow‑up, missed renewals, missed revenue.

C.06

Growth that won’t scale

Every new location, hire, or service line multiplies the workarounds instead of the capacity.

We start with the business, not the software.

SEC 03 / THE FIRM

Horizon Systems Automation is a systems engineering firm. Before anything is built, we map how your company actually operates — every system, every handoff, every workaround — and design the architecture that should exist. Then we build it, connect it, and stay accountable until it runs.

Strategy before engineering. Engineering in service of growth.

Most technology problems are not solved by buying another product. They’re solved by deciding — deliberately, on paper, before it’s expensive — how the business should run. That decision is the work.

Every engagement determines

  • 01 What the business is trying to accomplish
  • 02 Where growth is actually constrained
  • 03 Where information should move, and which system owns it
  • 04 Which tools should communicate — and which should go
  • 05 What should be automated, and what should stay human
  • 06 What new capability should be built

Capabilities

SEC 04 / CAPABILITIES

Not six products — six disciplines of one practice. Most engagements draw on several at once, because the architecture is the product.

Systems Strategy & Architecture

We map how your business operates and design the system that should exist — before anything is built. The foundation of every major engagement.

How architecture works
Capability

Systems Integrations & APIs

CRM, scheduling, payments, databases, and industry software engineered to exchange information without a person carrying it.

What we connect
Capability

Revenue & Customer Systems

The machinery between first click and renewal — lead capture, routing, follow‑up, scheduling, pipeline, payments, retention, reporting.

Capability

Integrated Web Platforms

A website engineered as part of the operating system of the business — connected, measurable, and built to convert. Platforms, not brochures.

Data & Infrastructure

Pipelines, synchronized records, dashboards, and reporting architecture — one version of the truth, visible when decisions get made.

Automation & Intelligent Systems

Process automation, intelligent routing, and AI where it earns its place — engineered on reliable data, with human judgment designed in.

Automation, done right

Your systems should agree with each other.

SEC 05 / ARCHITECTURE

One source of truth. Information moves between website, CRM, scheduling, payments, and reporting on its own — engineered, monitored, and owned.

How we work

SEC 06 / METHOD

Six phases, one line of reference. The order is the point: nothing gets built until the business is understood and the architecture is decided.

  1. PH 01

    Understand

Objectives, processes, customer journey, constraints, existing platforms.

  2. PH 02

    Map

Systems, data, dependencies, gaps, and every manual workaround.

  3. PH 03

    Architect

Design what should exist. Prioritize. Define ownership. Select technology.

  4. PH 04

    Engineer

Build, integrate, configure, automate — in production, not on slides.

  5. PH 05

    Validate

Test, monitor, document, and train your team on what changed.

  6. PH 06

    Optimize

Measure, improve, extend. A system is never finished — it is managed.

SEC 07 / EVIDENCE

Example engagement Example — pending validation

A multi‑location wellness business ran on six systems that disagreed about who its customers were. Gift cards were sold in one place, redeemed in another, and reconciled by hand at month end.

We mapped the operation, made the CRM the system of record, connected web, scheduling, and payments through one integration layer, and automated the follow‑up that staff had been carrying from memory. The architecture — not any single tool — is what moved the numbers.

Ways to engage

SEC 08 / ENGAGEMENT

Every engagement is scoped against a designed architecture, phased so each step de‑risks the next. Most begin with an assessment.

E.01

Systems Assessment

For organizations that need clarity before implementation: system map, operational analysis, architecture, and a prioritized roadmap.

E.02

Engineering Project

A defined initiative — an integration, a platform, a data pipeline, a custom build — architected, engineered, and shipped to production.

E.03

Systems Transformation

Multi‑system strategic work: architecture and implementation across the business, sequenced in phases over months.

E.04

Ongoing Engineering

A continuing partnership: development, integration, optimization, automation, and monitoring as the business grows.

Start with the architecture.

A systems assessment maps how your business actually operates, where it leaks, and what should exist — before you commit to building anything.
